Waddle's World

Uh oh!

Well, I certainly didn't see this coming. I truly believed that the Bears would assert themselves last Sunday night and maintain their status as the best the NFC has to offer.

And for the the first 30 minutes, I still hung on to that hope. But, when all was said and done, it was the Cowboys that emerged as the early season favorite to represent the NFC in Glendale Ariz., in February.

Granted, it's still early, very early, but the return trip for the Bears just got a whole lot more treacherous.

It looks like Lovie will finally make the change that many have been calling for: Out with Rex. In with Brian.

And while this won't solve all of their problems, it is a necessary change.

This team, with a defense decimated by injuries, can no longer tolerate the bad decisions and turnovers. And managing the offense isn't gonna be enough for the next several weeks. It's time for this Bears offense to finally shoulder the majority of the responsibility.

It's also time for this offensive line to step up and lead this team for the time being. They are supposed to be one of the top lines in the league, and if that is accurate, then they have underachieved for three weeks.

Benson needs to hang on to the ball, Berrian needs to do the same, Muhammad needs to get separation from cornerbacks and Greg Olsen needs to get more involved.

The defense has carried this team for years, now they need a little help. If they don't get it, this season will head south quickly.

It's hard to call Week 4 a must win, but that's what I'm doing. Going to Lambeau 1-3 could signal the end of 2007. It's time to strap it on, hunker down and go get one!

Not Griese BUT Orton! Kyle has experience AND did very well in preseason. Griese is NOT the future.

If Berrian caught the first two balls he dropped. None of this would be discussed. Bears would be 2-1 and We would be seeing if Rex could keep improving. Now we get to make bets on if he can hold onto the clipboard or not. We know Benson couldn't.

I Agree. Orton is the better choise Griese best days are long gone. I watched him in pre-season and her performed without cause for concern. This is exactly what we need. For last nights game, the bears were still in the game until Grossman unveiled his great throwing arm and threw the interceptions. Grossman is too short, cannot scramble, and has no ability reading the defense. Good riddins, go with Orton!

Can I stop booing Rex now that he has been stripped of his crown? WELL IT IS ABOUT TIME. I don't remember who the clown was on this blog who stood up for Rex but where is he now? Show yourself. Come on. Let's hear how great Grossman is.

Oh it's probably been years since Brian Griese was last seen, face down with a black eye and a big cut on the driveway of former teammate Terrell Davis. Wonder how he got that way? They say he slipped on the ice. It snows occasionally in Colorado. They have driveways here in Chicago too you know.

Fifty bucks says the Griese kid eats it.
