Waddle's World

OUCH!

If i told you that the Bears would rack up 458 yards and 31 points against the Vikings you wouldve expected a convincing win, right? I dont know where to start. So much for building on the momentum of the Packers win. The Bears had an opportunity to get a win over an average Minnesota team and stay alive in the NFC North chase. Unfortunately, they laid an egg and now find themselves trailing the Packers by three games and their reeling. Its not just that they are 2 and 4, but its how theyre losing that leaves you feeling sick. This once proud defense is getting roughed up like never before. In fact the defensive effort was the worst of the Lovie Smith era, in my opinion. They knew what they were getting from the Vikings, a one dimensional attack, and yet they couldnt slow them down. Take nothing away from Adrian Peterson, he is an astonishing young talent who did most of the damage, but how do you allow 311 rushing yards, and 7.2 yards per carry. The Bears got punched in the mouth and didnt respond. This one's gonna leaves some scars. Yes, I know theres a lot of football, left, Im just not sure thats a good thing! I'll spend the week searching for answers.

Yeah, good points Tom. However, you failed to mention that we (the bears) not only got beat by one rookie RB, but by a 1st year QB Tavaris Jackson, who should have been having nightmares all game, but instead torched our (expletive) secondary. By the way, Archuleta, please do us a favor and keep your whining to yourself, and stay benched and injured. Too bad, that by the time Vasher comes back, it'll be a little too late. I'm looking forward to next years draft already.

I don't hear anyone talking about Babich's role in this defense ineptitude. The defensive personnel are the same as last year. Granted there are injuries but there were injuries last year. The whole stripping the ball concept appears to have been stripped from the defensive scheme. I don't know what Babich's philosophy is, but it needs to change and quickly.

I agree with Mike ... When does Babich become accountable? I know he is Lovie's good pal and all, but thus far he looks like an incompetent replacement for Rivera.

Hey, don't blame me. I told you I was good.
