Waddle's World

About what I expected

I hate to say I saw it coming, but the loss to the Seahawks in Seattle was very predictable. The Seahawks arent a great team, but they are a "different" team at home. They've now won 21 of their last 25 at Qwest field. I WAS pleasantly surprised by the play of Rex Grossman. It wasnt "Good Rex" or "Bad Rex", but "Solid Rex", who showed up, albeit, about 2 months too late. Dont pin this one Rex, or Cedric Benson. This "L" falls at the feet of the defense that was torched for 425 yards and 30 points. They say the first step towards fixing a problem is admitting that there is a problem. Trust me, there are several problems with this Bears team and they arent going away anytime soon.

The Bears are in trouble. No QB, no running back, an old o line, and an old defense. They are near there cap with the stupid contract to Benson. Now they will have difficulty bringing Briggs in the fold next year and finding the players they need. Every 25 years we see a good team. I don't think I'll be around for the next one.

It comes down to one very basic part of the game. No pressure on the quarterback at the NFL level and you will loose most of the time. The defensive line is weak
