Marian Central Soccer [2008-03-31 15:09:38] Report abuse
Nice to hear Courtney is pursuing her goals. Brittany Hull (Marian Central's keeper) has been in contact with numerous schools and is weighing both academic and athletic offerings for the Fall of 2008. Good luck to both student athletes!
Hononegah Girls Soccer [2008-03-23 14:13:10] Report abuse
For your knowledge, one of those two keepers (Hononegah) will play D1 but unfortunately not in soccer. Courtney Shelton (senior) accepted the last scholarship spot to play girls basketball at NIU next fall! As her soccer coach, I would have loved to see her continue to play in net, but her first love is bball. She is a tremendous athlete as the video bares witness to, and I wish her the best of luck - but we have this season to finish yet!
Heals or Heels [2008-02-17 19:41:23] Report abuse
Great videos about the girls and coaches, but just one small error. I think you meant to say 'Cleats to Heels' vs. 'Cleats to Heals'! BTW - I bet those two keepers for Marian Central and Hononegah will be on someones D1 roster next Fall! What a show they both put on!
Marian Soccer - College Players [2008-02-10 10:12:20] Report abuse
Reviewing these videos and some of the press on where the girls went was great. Mobile, Heumann, Petty, Brenner, Piggot, and the Junior D1 prospect, keeper Brittany Hull are all on or going to be on college teams. Too bad they didn't score in that last game against Hononegah - they could have kept on going! Great example of student athletes in action.

Congratulations to the Lady Hurricanes on a wonderful year in 2007. Here's continued success in 2008 - play hard and with confidence. This video shows some great soccer and some great student athletes doing their absolute best in all areas of life.
