Two men are rescued Friday afternoon after their boat that capsized on Heidecke Lake.

A gazebo-like tent with mosquito netting caught fire Wednesday, May 9, in the backyard of a residence at 530 E. Main St., Morris. Damage was limited to the tent and lawn furniture.

Several horses have died in a large fire at a horse stable near Pistakee Bay, north of Lakemoor, witnesses said.

No injuries were reported following a significant fire at a residence at 40 Lynwood Drive in Morris, north of George Street, on Wednesday afternoon. Fire crews from Morris and Minooka contained the blaze at the one-story house. The cause of the fire appears to be electrical, according to Morris Fire Chief Bob Coleman. The fire originated in the wall, and then spread to the attic and to the roof. A woman driving a Ford Mustang crashed into a Reserved Parking Sign outside the Morris Driver Services Facility about 10:45 a.m. Tuesday.

Fire and rescue officials recovered Patrick Rorig of Johnsburg after he fell through the ice while playing hockey with his son on Sunday, February 19, 2012. Ice divers pulled Rorig out of the pond after searching for 32 minutes. He was then flown to Advocate Condell Medicall Center in Libertyville.
